Overview
Managing adults and children who present with an undifferentiated diagnoses with no access to past records is very challenging. This course teaches how to manages the specific challenges of working in walk-in and urgent care centres.
Our new Hybrid course mixes live sessions with self-led learning, to help clinicians be more flexible, confident and safe.
Learning outcomes
As the course progresses, learners will be able to:
- Apply principles of in-depth history taking, assessment, diagnosis and management when consulting with Adults and Children presenting with a minor illness.
- Demonstrate evidence based practice when making clinical decisions for management.
- Identify and manage red flags.
- Explore common symptoms relating to minor illness presentations using the principles of observation, history taking, assessment and management.
- Be able to document consultations safely and accurately, including safety netting.
Specifics
Hybrid includes 2 live days 10am-3pm + 1 Live day 12pm-3pm, with 12 weeks access to the self-learning package.

Course includes
20 CPD points, certificate of completion and competencies specific to the clinical area and two written case studies.
